Thomas Boivin is Belgium’s number one all-time poker player, with around $20M in live tournament earnings. He coaches serious players through a ten-week group cohort, a mentoring group membership, one-to-one coaching and digital products.
Since March 2026 I’ve built and run the platform behind that business, working directly with Thomas: the public site, the application funnel, payments, the members area and the admin he and his team use every day. It was built in Replit, on Supabase, with Stripe for payments and Resend for email.
The problem
High-ticket coaching sells on trust, and it runs on a lot of moving parts. Thomas needed one place that could:
- sell like a luxury brand, matching the level of player he coaches
- filter applicants, because group coaching takes 25 players per cohort, chosen by Thomas
- take payments for one-off products, cohorts and monthly or yearly memberships
- deliver the content each person paid for, and nothing more
- grow through referrals, with commissions and prizes
- let Thomas and his assistant run all of it without a developer for every change
- public pages, from sales pages to SEO guides
- 18+
- roles a user can hold at once
- 5
- admin sections for Thomas and his team
- 10
- registered users
- 318
- group coaching applications
- 37
What I built
1. A site that sells like the coaching does
A dark, editorial design with gold accents and Thomas’s own photography: 18+ pages covering the homepage, group coaching, the mentoring group, one-to-one, products, results, FAQ, a free webinar, lead magnets and SEO guides. A live countdown to the next mentoring session runs on the homepage, and the next session’s date, topic and host are set from the admin.
2. An application funnel, not a buy button
Group coaching is by application. Players go through a four-step form: personal details, poker background (game, stakes, volume, results), coaching history, then goals and availability. They then land on a page with Thomas’s intro video and two next steps: book an intro call, or pay. When the cohort is full, the same flow puts them on the waitlist instead.
In the admin, every application can be filtered, opened, given a status (pending, accepted, rejected or waitlisted), annotated with staff-only notes, and exported. Overdue ones are flagged.
3. Payments that grant the right access
Products and prices live in Stripe and sync into the platform: one-off masterclasses and recordings, plus monthly and yearly memberships. A completed checkout gives the buyer the matching role and content automatically. A sales view checks every Stripe payment against platform access, and a one-click sync repairs any purchase that didn’t get its access.
4. A members area that’s different for everyone
Five roles: super admin, staff, group coaching student, mentoring group member and product buyer. They stack, so one person can hold several, and each member’s dashboard is built from the roles they hold:
| What they see | Who sees it |
|---|---|
| Group coaching recordings | Group coaching students |
| Mentoring group archive and the live Zoom link | Students and mentoring members |
| My products | Product buyers |
| Referral dashboard | Every member |
Videos sit in private storage and play through signed links that expire after an hour, with downloads disabled. Two members logging in at the same moment see completely different dashboards, and neither can reach anything the other paid for.
5. Referrals, testimonials and the admin behind it all
Every member gets a referral link. Clicks and purchases are tracked, commissions are calculated per product tier, and prize levels (from a discount up to a day with Thomas at a major event) are edited from the admin. Members can submit testimonials with a photo, video and results; Thomas approves them, and they appear on the site.
The admin pulls it together: applications, videos, analytics, testimonials, products, sales, payouts, users, the membership waitlist and settings. Staff see only what their role allows. Settings controls whether cohorts are open, the next mentoring session, commission rates and the post-application page, and shows whether the Resend email domain is healthy.

Started with Thomas
Began building the platform in Replit on Supabase: the data model, the five roles, sign-in and the first sales pages.
Funnel, members and admin
The four-step application and post-application flow, personalised member dashboards, the protected video library, testimonials, referrals and the admin.
Payments and email
Stripe products, checkout and memberships with automatic access, the purchase sync and sales checks, and transactional email through Resend.
Ongoing
Still working with Thomas: new masterclasses, programme launches and improvements as the business grows.
What this project shows
- A whole business on one platform. Sales, applications, payments, content, referrals and admin in one system Thomas runs himself.
- Access control that money depends on. Five stackable roles, signed video links and payments that grant exactly what was bought.
- Built in Replit, run in production. Real users, real applications and real Stripe sales, with ongoing ownership after launch.
